It was published by the Albert Richard company in 1936. The company started as a division of the Fried Ostermann Company, a glove manufacturer, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Albert Richard produced leather and sportswear and quickly outgrew Fried Ostermann. The company was eventually sold in the mid 1950s.
